How long is the duration when you have a poison bow string? Assuming no other skills are applied.

Poisonous Bowstring just lengthens poison duration a poison skill will create, not causes a poisonous condition itself. You must use Apply Poison or Poison Arrow.

does that apply to every shot? I also seem to remember the poison ending when apply poison did anyway, even with poisoners string :-/

The poison can persist well after Apply Poison has ended if you have appropriate points in Wilderness Survival. With little to no points in Wilderness Survival the poison's duration is only a few seconds and in such a case it will wear off almost as quickly as the poisoned arrows stop hitting. 33% of a couple seconds is such a small amount that a Poisoner's String won't help you if you don't have the points in Wilderness Survival to back it up.
